Ingredients

  • 1 cupsplit pigeon peas (toor Dal)
  • 1cucumber small diced
  • 1onion small diced
  • 1tomato small diced
  • to tasteSalt
  • 2whole red chilli
  • 10-12Curry leaves
  • 1 tea spoonBengal gram (chana Dal)
  • 1 tea spoonblack gram split (urad Dal)
  • 1 tea spoonMustard seed
  • 1/2 tea spoonturmeric powder
  • 1/2 tea spoonHing
  • 1lemon (juice)
  • 1 tea spoonred peprika
  • 1 tea spoonsambhar masala

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak the lentin (Dal) for 1/2 an hour

    After 1/2 an hour pour the Dal in pressure cooker, add turmeric, Hing and salt and cook 1 whistle at high flame and 3 at low flame

    Now take a wok add 2 table spoon ghee,mustard seeds, whole red chilli, Curry leaves, chana Dal, urad Dal

    Add chopped onions, cucumber, tomato and saute for 1 min.

    Add salt, red pepperika, lemon juice, sambhar masala, now add cooked dal mix well and cook for 1 min sambhar is ready
