This will make a lot of icing, if only using a couple of colors. If you like every color of the rainbow (like I do lol) you will need double or triple this recipe. Wonderful icing, easy to work with, dries hard and shiny! Let dry completely before stacking!!

Ingredients

  1. 4 cupspowdered sugar
  2. 9 tspmilk
  3. 4 tspcorn syrup
  4. 2 tspAlmond emulsion
  5. 2 tsplemon oil or extract

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Measure out powdered sugar and set aside

  2. 2

Measure milk and pour into medium to large bowl

  3. 3

Slowly add powdered sugar, making sure to mix well after each addition, or it will become clumpy.

  4. 4

After all sugar has been added, mixture WILL BE VERY THICK. Add your corn syrup, and mix well.

  5. 5

Add your extracts. I like almond emulsion because it is thicker and tastes better, as with the lemon oil, however, extracts will work.

  6. 6

If mixture is still too thick, you can add more corn syrup, but only a little at a time.

  7. 7

    Separate and color!
