Mashed Sweet Potato Cakes Mashed Sweet Potato Cakes
It's not clear whether it is called "tsukiage" because you "tsuki" (pound) and "ageru" (deep fry) the boiled potato, or because it's round and yellow like the moon.Even in Nagasaki, only people from my hometown make these. They're so good that I posted the recipe to spread the word. But this is my version, perhaps there's a proper recipe somewhere. You can microwave the sweet potatoes. But they will come out dry, so adding a little milk helps!Adjust the amount of sugar depending on the sweetness of the potatoes. I like them very sweet. The more flour you use, the more glutinous they will be. Recipe by Poyopoyon cookpad.japan -

Sweet Potato Chips Sweet Potato Chips
I love the salty butter flavor of "Osatsudoki" snacks, and wondered if I could recreate it at home. I gave it a try and my family loved it.☆So I published the recipe. If you slice the sweet potato too thick, it's difficult to quick-fry. Please be sure to adjust the flavor in Step 1. I added salt last, and it was nothing but a lump of salt in the end.I'm scared of flying hot oil, so I combined the oil and the sweet potato together. The oil doesn't have to be pre-warmed for you to be able to quick-fry. Easy Sweet Potato Bites Easy Sweet Potato Bites
My eldest son picked some potatoes and brought them home.I created this recipe so that it only includes the crucial steps, so there is no need to sift ingredients and you won't have too much washing to do!For measuring I use a big plate and rest the bag on top of it, just tossing in the ingredients after I measure them. The margarine and sugar will melt from the residual heat from the potatoes, so they'll be easy to mix in.These taste just as good as more complicated sweet potato bites. When heating the potatoes up in the microwave I used the setting for cooking root vegetables. Heat and keep checking on them until they soften. If you roll them into balls after piping they tend not to stick to your hands!Since they're small, feel free to freeze these and put them in your lunchbox for the next day.
