Cooking Instructions

Wash yellow split pigeon peas properly, drain the water

Transfer yellow split pigeon peas into the pressure cooker and add water, turmeric, and salt. Cover the lid and cook with 2 whistle

When pressure is released, open the cooker if daal is cooked, prepare for tadka

Heat oil in a frying pan, add mustard seeds and after 2 seconds add chopped onion and cook till light brown. add tomato, ginger garlic paste, coriander, and chili powder stir, and cook about 2 minutes

Add boiled daal, mix well and cook for about 5 minutes.

You can add boiled water and salt if needed

Switch off the gas. add cilantro leaves and serve with chapati and rice.
