Ingredients

4-5 servings
  1. 2 cupsblack eyed peas
  2. 5 cupswater
  3. 1big cube of frozen masala
  4. 2 tspcoriander powder
  5. I tsp cumin powder
  6. 2 tspsalt or to taste
  7. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  8. 1/2 tspmeat masala
  9. 2 tspbesan with 4 tsp water (mixed) - optional
  10. Garnish
  11. 1-2 tspAmchur
  12. 1/2 cupcoriander
  13. 1/2 tspmeat masala

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Mix everything in the instant pot leaving out the ingredients for garnishing

  2. 2

    Optional - mix besan and water into a thick paste and add to the ingredients to thicken the curry.

  3. 3

    Cover and cook on high pressure for 12 minutes and let the pressure release naturally.

  4. 4

    Open and add Amchur, meat masala and coriander

  5. 5

    Serve with rice or chapati
