Cooking Instructions

Wash and Soak urad dal and Moong dal overnight or for 5-6 hrs.

After 6 hrs remove all water from dal and grind them separately with greenchilli and ginger. (Add water in grinding lil at a time make sure the batter is not too thin)

Mix both the grinded dals and then beat it with your hands until doubled and fluffy.

Add salt to taste and mix again. Make small ball shape and deep fry them from this batter. Deep fry until golden in colour.

Fry them on med to high flame and make sure they dont remain undone from inner side.

Once these vadas cool down a little add these to like warm water and soak for some time.

A tip cover with the cloth so that these vadas remain immersed as shown in pic.

After the vadas are soaked properly add them to curd mix.

For curd mix take thick portion of curd add sugar and black salt. Blend to form uniform mix.

Garnish dahi vadas with red chilli powder, roasted jeera powder and imli chutney.
