🐟 Tuna steak - Japanese flavor

Finding a good quality tuna, yellow fin tuna here, is a big challenge in UK. To enjoy the taste and flavor better, a bit of sear works wonderfully. And it's extremely easy, maybe 5 min cooking time.
The key is to make heating time short, and it keeps tuna tender and juicy.

Ingredients

5 min
4 servings
  1. 450 gYellow fin tuna - Sashimi grade
  2. 2 table spoonExtra virgin olive oil
  3. 2 tea spoonsoysauce
  4. salt

Cooking Instructions

5 min
  1. 1

Take out water using cooking paper

  2. 2

Season with salt. Not too much, a pinch

  3. 3

Plenty of olive oil. I use 7 out of 9 of the induction hob. Heat the oil well before put the tuna

  4. 4

Sear each side less than a minuite. Do not keep too long, as it makes tuna stiff and dry, and ruin the texture and taste completely. Blue rare, in meat expression.

  5. 5

    Drizzle soysauce in the pan

  6. 6

In addition to saysauce, wasabi works perfect on top. Again, not too much..

  7. 7

If there's a fresh market nearby, you'd enjoy many other parts too.
