Ingredients

  1. Step 1 : Gravy base preparation:
  2. 1 tsp oil
  3. 2 bay leaves
  4. 5 cloves (1 inch)ginger
  5. 7-8 Garlic pods
  6. 3/4 cupchopped onion
  7. 2 cups chopped tomatoes
  8. 10-12 cashews
  9. Step 2: Makhani preparation: Ingredients:
  10. 1 tsp oil
  11. 25 gm butter
  12. 1/4 tspjeera
  13. ½ inch cinnamon stick
  14. 4Cardamom
  15. 3Clove
  16. 1deseeded chopped green chillies
  17. 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  18. 1 tspgaram masala
  19. 250 gms paneer
  20. 1 tspcrushed kasuri methi
  21. 1 tsp cream(optional) can
  22. 1 tspsugar
  23. as per tasteSalt
  24. 1 tspketcup

Cooking Instructions

    Step 1 : Gravy base preparation:
    Method:
    1.In a pan,add oil,fry all the above ingredients until everything is well cooked & mushy.
    2. Cool & grind it into a paste.
    3. Strain the paste to get a silky smooth gravy base.

    Soak paneer in hot water for 20 minutes.

    Method:
    1. In a cooking pot, add oil,butter. Once butter melts,add the whole garam masala items,jeera,green chillies & saute.
    2.lower the flame & Add kashmiri red powder & saute.. this gives the bright red colour to the gravy.. make sure to lower the flame to avoid burning.
    3.Then add the ground gravy base from step 1,cook for sometime & add milk.
    4. Then add Garam masala,tomato ketchup, sugar,salt. Cover & cook for 5 mins.
    5. Then add the soaked paneer by squeezing the water.

    Finish off with kasurimethi & cream
