TKG 🥚🍚 (Tamgokake Gohan)

This is a very simple but super tasty dish I often made when I was in Japan. The ingredients are quite flexible as long as you have rice, egg, and soy sauce!
@yukimisaki definitely give it a try in the UK 💯 #TasteOfHome

Egg, Natto and Onion with Shirataki Noodles Egg, Natto and Onion with Shirataki Noodles
This is a shirataki noodle version of a pasta dish I've been making sometimes. If you don't like the distinctive odor of shirataki noodles, boil them at Step 2 for more than 3 minutes to get rid of it. (I hate that odor and I can eat them fine after boiling for 3 minutes, so I think that's enough...) For 1 serving. Recipe by milestone cookpad.japan -
Non-Sticky Natto Fried Rice with Pickled Ume Plums Non-Sticky Natto Fried Rice with Pickled Ume Plums
I like eating natto with umeboshi, so I wondered about making it into fried rice...By mixing the rice and the egg together in a bowl beforehand, the egg works as a coating when cooking for a more crumbly rice. Recipe by Minaichigo cookpad.japan -
Fluffy Cold Udon Noodles Fluffy Cold Udon Noodles
When I was waiting for a pot of rice to cook, I was mixing natto and egg together... when it turned really foamy and voluminous! And it was fluffy-light too! I thought it would go very well with noodles.-All you need to season these noodles is the sauce that comes with the natto and an umeboshi pickled plum.-Of course, you could use soba noodles or somen noodles instead.-At Step 3, if you whip the egg white to incorporate lots of air, the sauce will become fine, light, and fluffy.-I love to top with a mountain of nori seaweed and green onions. You could also add myoga ginger or shiso leaves. For 1 serving. Recipe by J_Rosemary cookpad.japan -

It's not much, but it's a completely different way of eating, so please try it out.Don't mix the natto and egg together... that's it! Recipe by RED_SPIC cookpad.japan -

Foamy and Creamy! Natto Soba Noodles Foamy and Creamy! Natto Soba Noodles
There is one dish in a soba restaurant that I had always thought was Tororo Natto Soba (soba noodles with grated nagaimo yam and natto). But surprisingly, the staff explained to me that the white foamy part was actually egg white. The foam of the egg white is accentuated by mixing in natto. It was so delicious that I tried making it in my own way.Use a fresh egg. It's delicious if you chill it well. (The egg white and natto give a sticky texture.) The stickiness of natto will maintain the foam of the egg white. If you don't like the smell of egg white, season with wasabi, myoga ginger, sesame seeds, salt cured plum (umeboshi) or shiso leaf etc. Recipe by Shirokuman cookpad.japan -
Natto and Umeboshi Spaghetti Natto and Umeboshi Spaghetti
I won a whole lot of natto in a contest. The reason for rinsing the natto is to get rid of some of the stickiness and smell, and make it easier to eat.I break the spaghetti in half before cooking, to make it easier to eat with chopsticks. For 2 servings. Recipe by Tamochan cookpad.japan -
Eggy Tempura Crumbs and Cabbage Stir-fry Rice Bowl Eggy Tempura Crumbs and Cabbage Stir-fry Rice Bowl
A recipe from a cookbook inspired me to prepare this dish. I often make egg rice bowls with leftover vegetables. The result was healthy and tasty. You can use any vegetables you like, such as carrot or onion, not only cabbage.Try not to move the food around after you add the tofu otherwise the shape of tofu will be damaged too much. Before adding the beaten egg make sure you taste first. If it is too bland, simmer a little longer to reduce the sauce. Recipe by John Lee Cooker cookpad.japan -
Easy Butter Flavored Natto Pasta Easy Butter Flavored Natto Pasta
I learned this from a chef at a restaurant where I used to work, and adapted it to my tastes. This is great when you want a pasta lunch for one. I usually have about 140 g of pasta with this, since it's so scrumptious. If you mix in the pasta without totally draining off the cooking water from it, the oil and water will emulsify in a delicious way. For 1 serving. Recipe by @miki cookpad.japan -
