Cinnamon is such an integral part of our daily cuisine, be it in India, in other parts of the world depending on cuisine type cinnamon is used quite a bit. I used in making Hot Chocolate today. I added a fair amount of red chilli powder to give that chilli taste lingering in my mouth inspite of sweetness of chocolate

Ingredients

Preparation time-10 mins, Cooking time-25 mins
1 serving
  1. 1 cupmilk
  2. 1 Tbspunsweetened cocoa powder
  3. 2 tspsugar (can increase if anyone wishes to)
  4. 1/4 tspcinnamon powder
  5. 1/2 tspKashmiri red chilli powder
  6. 1/8 tspnutmeg grated
  7. 1/4 cupchopped dark chocolate
  8. 1/2 tspvanilla essence
  9. as requiredWhipping cream to garnish

Cooking Instructions

Preparation time-10 mins, Cooking time-25 mins

    In a heavy base saucepan combine milk, sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder and bring it to heat on medium flame whisking continuously until well blended.

    Add Kashmiri red chilli powder, cinnamon powder, grated nutmeg, vanilla essence and continue whisking on medium flame.

    Add the chopped chocolate. Blend well for 2-3 mins so that the creamy thick texture is there.

    Pour into a cup and garnish with whipping cream, chopped Dark chocolate. Add Cinnamon stick. Enjoy
