  • 2 cupmilk
  • 1/2 cupbrown sugar
  • 2 tbspwater
  • 2 tbspunsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tspcinnamon
  • 2 dashnutmeg
  • 1/4 tspginger
  • 1 pinchground cloves
  • 1whipped cream for garnish if desired

Steps

15 mins
  1. 1

    stir together sugar, water and spices in a 2 quart sausepan, stir until well blended

  2. 2

    add the cocoa, stir until smooth, let simmer for one minute

    slowly add milk

    stir over low heat until hot, Do Not Boil.

  5. 5

    serve in warmed mugs or cups

  6. 6

    garnish with whipped cream and cinnamon

    enjoy
