The best Banana Cake ever

This has become our favorite cake ever!
It's very moist, sweet but with a small amount of sugar, it's super easy to make and of course it uses those old, black bananas that are left over.
Now I even buy over-ripe bananas from the supermarket (they are cheap too!) to make this cake.
There is not one person who has tried this cake and not asked for the recipe immediately. It's a HUGE hit!

I have made this short video for this recipe

It is in Greek, but I am sure you will get the instructions

Ingredients

70 mins
  1. 1 1/2 cupsall-purpose flour
  2. 1 tspbaking soda
  3. 1 1/2 tspbaking powder
  4. 1/2 tspsalt
  5. 1/2-2/3 cupsugar
  6. 1/2 cupoil
  7. 3ripe bananas
  8. 2eggs
  9. 50 gdark chocolate chips

Cooking Instructions

70 mins
  1. 1

    Preheat your oven (150º C or 300º F)

  2. 2

Prepare a baking pan: either put some baking paper inside or just cover with butter and flour. I use an 8 inch pan, but you can also use a loaf pan.

  3. 3

In a bowl mix the flour with the baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar.

  4. 4

Mash the bananas with a fork, a spoon, or whatever suits you!

  5. 5

Add the bananas to your mix. Add the oil and the eggs and mix well.

  6. 6

Add the chocolate chips and mix once more.

  7. 7

Put the mix in your prepared pan (sprinkle some more chocolate chips on top if you wish) and put it in the preheated oven, for an hour.

I live in Greece but I love to try and experiment with food from all over the world! I have 2 children that are grown up now and off to the University, but I consider it my great success that they both love to try new things, they can cook and actually love to do it! It is my firm belief that everyone can cook and the only thing to do is get in the kitchen and try it!
