Ingredients

  1. 1medium onion chopped
  2. 8 clovesgarlic minced
  3. 8curry leaves
  4. 1star anise
  5. 4tblsp Butter chicken spice
  6. 1 tspchilli powder
  7. 1 canchopped tomatoes
  8. 1 1/2lentils
  9. Pinchsaffron threads in 1 cup warm water
  10. 2 cupsvegetable stock
  11. 1 cancoconut cream

Cooking Instructions

    On medium heat fry onion, the garlic and the spices and curry leaves till fragrant. Add tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes.

    Add lentils then add saffron water and vegetable stock and cover and cook for 40 minutes, Stirring occasionally. Add coconut cream and cook for either 10 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste and enjoy.
