Ingredients

  1. For dough:
  2. 2 cupmaida
  3. 4 tspghee
  4. Milk as required
  5. For stuffing:
  6. 1 cupdesiccated coconut
  7. 1/2 cupmava / khoya
  8. 2 tsprava
  9. Few mixed dry fruits coarsely chopped
  10. 1 tspraisins
  11. 1/2 cupbura sugar
  12. 2 tspghee
  13. For sugar syrup:
  14. 1 cupsugar
  15. 1 cupwater

Cooking Instructions

    In a pan, add ghee and roast rava and coconut. Then roast mava and lastly add chopped dry fruits and raisins and bura sugar and mix everything well. Let it cool down.

    In a bowl, take maida and add ghee for moin and gradually adding milk knead a puri like dough. Cover it and keep aside for half an hour.

    Now make medium sized balls from the dough and roll a puri from it. Put stuffing inside it and cover it and give gujiya shape.

    Heat the oil or ghee for deep frying. Add prepared gujiya into it and fry it till light golden brown. Then take out.

    Dissolve sugar into water and make syrup of one thread consistency and dip the fried gujiyas into the sugar syrup and coat well and take out.

    Holi special mava gujiyas are ready to serve.
