A perfect way to rescue soggy rice! Magical accident chicken porridge 🧙‍♀️🪄

Due to my mistake of adding too much water when cooking Japonica rice in a pressure cooker, our rice got so soggy😭😭😭

However, thanks to the team’s effort and magical inspiration, it turned into a delicious comforting porridge! Huge success out of failure! Thank you @dillasyalala @ainame !

If you are also in the same situation, finding out soggy rice and don't know what to do, please try this recipe! (This time, we cooked lots of rice, but even if you have only small portion of rice, just adjust the rest of the ingredients by tasting with a spoon once in a while! The key is to have these ingredients!)

Ingredients

  1. 5Garlic cloves
  2. 1 pieceGinger
  3. 1 table spoonChilli
  4. 300 gChicken breast
  5. 500 mlWater
  6. 1 cubeChicken stock cube (We used knorr brand one, but you can use Chinese chicken stock powder too)
  7. 1 kgCooked white japonica rice (soggy rice or leftover rice is perfect to be this dish!!)
  8. 1.5 table spoonSoy sauce
  9. Salt and white pepper
  10. 2 table spoonSpring onion

Cooking Instructions

    Heat some vegetable oil in a pot, stir fry finely chopped garlic and finely chopped ginger. Cook until fragrant.

    Add diced chicken. Once it's almost cooked, add water and chicken stock cube. Mix well. Pour your cooked rice in the soup.

    Sprinkle some white pepper and salt, add chilli and soy sauce. Add chopped spring onion if you want. Check the taste and adjust as you wish. Ready to serve!
