Jowar appe is an instant recipe. The jowar is a gluten-free millet that is a superfood. These appes can be made in just 20 minutes. So ideal for breakfast or can be had as snacks too. Since it's monsoon season, and we crave some spicy, crispy snacks this one is definitely - a guilt-free snack.

Ingredients

  1. 1 cupjowar flour
  2. 2 tbsprice flour
  3. 1 tspcumin seeds
  4. 2green chillies chopped
  5. 1/4 cupchopped onion
  6. 1 cupgrated carrot
  7. 1 cupgrated zucchini
  8. 1 cupchopped tomatoes
  9. Fewcurry leaves chopped
  10. 1 tspfruit salt
  11. As Per TasteSalt
  12. as neededOil

Cooking Instructions

    In a deep mixing bowl add jowar flour, rice flour, and salt. Mix together. Now add water and make a smooth batter.

    Add cumin seeds, onions, carrots, zucchini, green chilies, and tomatoes, curry leaves and give it a wick mix..cover and keep for 10 minutes.

    Now heat the appam pan on medium clame and add ¼ tsp oil to each chamber. Pour the batter into each chamber and cover and cook for 2 minutes.

    Drizzle some oil on the appe and now flip the appe with the help of a fork. The outer layer should turn golden and crisp. Cook on the other side too till golden in colour.

    Similarly, cook all the batches of appe.

    Serve with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
