Two times I bought baingan and ended with baingan pakora or aloo baingan…. This time I told myself that I want to make it. A lot of videos fascinated me to make this kind of baingan bharta by roasting baingan, and tomato on the stove.

Ingredients

20 mins
3 persons
  1. Roasting vegetable
  2. 1baingan (brinjal)
  3. 2tomatoes
  4. 2green chillies
  5. 4-5garlic cloves
  6. Others
  7. Oil
  8. 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  9. 1 tspcumin whole
  10. 1/2 tspsalt

Cooking Instructions

20 mins
  1. 1

Put all the roasting ingredients on the plate. Pour oil and rub all over with your hands.

  2. 2

Cut 4 slits on brinjal (baingan) and insert garlic cloves. Put it on the stove and turn on medium flame and start roasting by rotating the brinjal slowly slowly

  3. 3

Once the Brinjal is turned soft and the skin starts erupting, put chili also on the stove and start roasting. When the skin turns fully wrinkled and crumbled it means it’s done.

  4. 4

Roast tomato also by rotating slowly on the stove. Once all roasting is done. Put it on a plate.

  5. 5

Start peeling the skin from baingan and tomato. Then mash it with a fork.

  6. 6

In the meanwhile place the pan on the stove and put the whole cumin in hot oil. Once it starts splattering, add salt and chili powder.

  7. 7

Then add finely chopped onion. Fey for a whole in oil and then add all the mashed ingredients: Brinjal, chili and tomato.

  8. 8

Fry it for one min with all spices in the oil properly

  9. 9

Dish out and serve hot and enjoy with Garma garam chapati 😍🙌
