This is one of my favourite recipe that I love to make for my sister. The best part about this recipe is that all the ingredients used in it are healthy. The white sauce here is made with wheat flour instead of Maida ( All purpose flour). Try out this simple and yummy white sauce pasta recipe at home. Enjoy :)

Ingredients

  1. 1 Cupwheat pasta penne
  2. 1/2 Cupwheat flour
  3. 1 1/2 CupsMilk
  4. 1 Cupcheese (grated)
  5. 1 CupCapsicum onion and ( sliced)
  6. 1/4 Cuporegano
  7. To Tastered chilli flakes
  8. To Tastesalt
  9. 2 Tablespoonsolive oil

Cooking Instructions

    Heat large covered sauce pot of salted water to boiling on high and add the pasta to it. Let it boil for about 7 mins till the pasta is cooked. Drain the pasta, rinse the pasta with cold water, drain it again and keep it aside.

    Now for the white sauce take a deep dish add the wheat flour to it and then slowly keep adding the milk to it and whisk properly till it turns out into a smooth batter.

    Make sure there should be no lumps of wheat in it. If the batter is too thick add some water as per to get a smooth consistency. Once this is done keep it aside.

    Now take pan let it heat for about 1 min. Add the oil to it, add the oregano and chilli flakes to the oil saute it for about 2 mins. Then add the capsicum and onion to it saute it for 3 mins.(Here any vegetables of your choice can be used)Now add the sauce batter to the pan.

    Keep stiring it constantly when the sauce is boiling. Add the boiled Penne pasta. Add salt to taste, let it cook for 3- 4 min and now add the grated cheese and extra oregano and chilli flakes.

    Let it simmer for 2 mins till the cheese melts and then turnoff the the flame.The pasta is ready to be served. Serve the pasta with garlic bread.
