My uncle Mike taught me this recipe. He was taught it by an old Russian lady back when he was a boy. It's been adapted to fit modern ingredients and convenience, but he claims the flavor is spot on. Anyway you look at it it's a tasty easy recipe for a cold winter day.

Ingredients

  1. 16 ozPackage of sausage, spicy works best but any will do
  2. 1 mediumonion
  3. 1 smallcabbage
  4. 64 ozBottle of spicy Bloody Mary mix. For less spice use v8
  5. 1as needed Salt and pepper

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Rough chop the onion brown it with the sausage

  2. 2

    Chop the cabbage add it and the Bloody Mary mix to the pot bring it to a boil

  3. 3

    Reduce to a simmer and cook until cabbage is soft.

  4. 4

    Salt and pepper to taste
