Celeriac & Parma Ham Soup

Celeriac soup is the best! It’s often paired with bacon, but I like to use parma ham as it doesn’t have nitrate preservatives in it.

This soup is perfect for when you have some holiday ham leftovers. It comes together quickly and makes a cozy, filling meal. For the salt free seasoning, I use Trader Joe's 21 seasoning salute, but something like Mrs. Dash works too. Christina -
Ham and Bean Soup Ham and Bean Soup
This isn't the most traditional way of making ham and bean soup but still has amazing flavor. I didn't use ham hock, ham shank or bacon which seems to be common. We used a homemade ham stock that we had in the freezer made from the bone of a spiral ham. For the ham chunks I used a combination of leftover ham from a holiday meal and the last bit of the ham I smoked this past summer. If you don't have smoked ham or double smoked in my case you can use a smoked turkey leg and let it simmer in the pot. Or even a drop or two of liquid smoke just to give the extra depth of flavor. Also used the dehydrated onion in place of fresh chopped because it seemed like it would just get lost in there. The only thing I might do differently next time is add spinach or another green to the party. jason williams -
Black Bean (w/ Ham) Soup Black Bean (w/ Ham) Soup
This is a go to soup (meal) when I have leftover ham from a holiday meal. The smoked ham hock adds a great flavor. For a traditional Cuban meal, omit the meat and dairy, and serve with white rice. To “Mexican-ize” the dish, add some “heat” (jalapeno or hot sauce) within the cooking process and garnish with cilantro, salsa, etc. Rick M -

This is a take on a jalapeño popper soup but I did not have bacon on hand and didn't have the heart to call it a jalapeño "popper" soup without bacon. 😭🤪 #madethis Danielle Barnes -
Bean & Ham Hock soup Bean & Ham Hock soup
Bean soup with the slightly smoky flavor of ham hocks (smoked pig knuckle). Of course ham could be substituted, I just enjoy the extra richness ham hocks bring. Takes awhile to cook, but it is more, do a little prep, cook for awhile, so you can do other things while this cooks. This has an awesome flavor, and I usually buy a bean mix, well, I like to mix it up a little. So try it, and enjoy. Fo Fa -

Found this recipe and didn't like some of the ingredients so I changed some of it. Plus I had stuff in the fridge I needed to use up. You don't think the ham and hamburger will go well together, but they do! This is now my favorite meal. Patti Baum -

It takes around 20 minutes to bake bread, scones and muffins. I came up with a soup that I could make while breads are baking and would be ready at the same time. It's easier with grated cheese, but if you use cheese slices, shred them into small pieces first.
