Found this recipe and didn't like some of the ingredients so I changed some of it. Plus I had stuff in the fridge I needed to use up. You don't think the ham and hamburger will go well together, but they do! This is now my favorite meal.

Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 2 stalksCelery, diced
  2. 1/2small onion, diced
  3. 1.5 TGarlic, minced
  4. 3 TButter
  5. 3/4 lbHamburger, browned
  6. 2 cupsHam, diced
  7. 4 cupsChicken Broth
  8. 1.5 TSoy Sauce
  9. 10 ozbag Frozen Corn
  10. 1/2 cupGreen Pepper, diced
  11. small can Mushrooms
  12. 2 cupsRice, cooked
  13. Italian Seasoning to taste
  14. Salt and Pepper to taste
  15. 1/2 cupHeavy Cream

Cooking Instructions

    In large soup pot, add butter, onions, celery, and garlic. Cook on medium- high heat until translucent and starting to caramelize.

    While onion and celery mixture is cooking, brown hamburger in a skillet. Drain.

  3. 3

    When onion and celery mixture is ready, add chicken broth, ham, hamburger, soy sauce, corn, mushrooms, seasonings, salt/ pepper, and green pepper. Bring to boil.

    Add cooked rice and heavy cream. Bring back to a boil.

  5. 5

    Serve
