Ingredients

  1. 8 medium potatoes
  2. 8 large eggs
  3. 2bread slices
  4. 2onions chopped
  5. 1 tbspginger paste
  6. 2-3green chillies chopped
  7. 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  8. 1/4 garam masala powder
  9. To tastesalt and sugar
  10. 1 tbspchopped coriander
  11. 1 cupoil
  12. 2 tbspcorn flour
  13. 2 tbspmaida/ all purpose flour
  14. as neededBread crumbs

Cooking Instructions

    Quarter the potatoes and boil or steam them.Peel and mash them with a masher.Meanwhile boil the eggs and de-shell them.Slice them into half lengthwise and set aside.

    Chop finely the onions and fry lightly in 2 tbsp oil.Add the mashed potato.Then add ginger paste,chopped green chillies,red chilli powder,garam masala and salt and sugar to taste and wet and squeezed dry bread slices.Toss till light brown in colour.Sprinkle coriander when done.

    Make balls from the fried mashed potato and place a slice of egg. Close all ends and give it an oval shape.Dip each cutlet in batter and toss in bread crumbs.Set aside in fridge for an hour.Then fry in batches.Serve as a starter or snack with tea or coffee.
