Curry Pilaf with Chicken in Tomato-Cream Sauce Curry Pilaf with Chicken in Tomato-Cream Sauce
I wanted to make a fun meal that was very original and that people wouldn't get tired of. It had to be inexpensive and delicious, too. I don't know if a dish like this already exists, but I thought it sounded like a good combination and tried it out. Result: it was very tasty, so I turned it into a recipe.I wasn't sure whether I should stir fry the flour with the chicken, but mixing it with milk worked fine. In Step 6, simmer the sauce for 1-2 minutes after it's bubbling. If you use cream instead of milk, the sauce will be quite rich. You could blend milk and cream, too. For 4 servings. Slow Cooker Tomato Pasta Sauce with Italian Sausage Slow Cooker Tomato Pasta Sauce with Italian Sausage
I develop recipes based on what I have on hand when I make them, so if you don't happen to have all the ingredients in my recipe, there's almost always some kind of reasonable and accessible substitute. For instance - not everyone has fresh parsley on hand all the time (nor do I). A smaller quantity of dried parsley would work in lieu, of course, as would, say, 2 to 3 teaspoons of dried Italian herb mix in lieu of all the herbs I listed. Some of the ingredient choices were quite deliberate - for instance, ketchup to bring that developed sweetness that's hard to achieve on a low slow cooker setting, fish sauce and Worcestershire to intensify the umami and give the sauce more depth of flavor, and stock to bring more richness, thickness and body than would water. But if you don't have fish sauce, it's fine to just put a little more salt (like maybe 1/2 to 3/4 of a teaspoon). Even better to throw in a Tablespoon or two of a grated dry cheese like Parm, Romano, Asiago, or Manchego - here's a perfect use for the rinds! All the better to give the sauce the same kind of complexity and depth of flavor you would get from the funk of fermented fish sauce. So many options I couldn't possibly go into all of them now, but you get the idea... x -

Tomato Sauce Tomato Sauce
I learned this while I was abroad. This is an easy version that's light on the oil. It's a simple and delicious all-purpose sauce with no frills!Be sure not to burn the garlic when cooking it. You can make various versions by adding meat, vegetables, white sauce, sour cream, curry powder, etc. If you want to have a thicker sauce, you can add some katakuriko potato starch to adjust the thickness. Basil and Bacon Tomato Pasta Sauce Basil and Bacon Tomato Pasta Sauce
I harvested a lot of basil from the a pot in my garden, so I tried adding some to my usual tomato sauce. If you cook down the sauce too much, thin it out a bit with pasta cooking water. If you don't simmer the sauce enough though it will be watery. If you don't have fresh basil, substitute dried basil. If you don't like the sourness of tomato, add 1 to 2 teaspoons of sugar. Linguini with fresh Tomato Sauce (Makaronia Me Tomata Salsa) Linguini with fresh Tomato Sauce (Makaronia Me Tomata Salsa)
This recipe has been sitting in my draft box for a while now, but for some reason I really never got around to making it. Today, it’s very cold and at the moment it’s snowing and I don’t want to make soup, so I decided on this delicious pasta dish which will work just fine. New Year Eve seems to getting closer, and I still haven’t planned out the New Year Eve Menu not really sure what it is I want to make 😦 but one thing I do know for sure is we will be making the classic Greek Cake Vasilopita.During the holidays we tend to make too much food and this means too many leftovers. This year there was wayyy to much leftovers than previous years, the reason as you all know was due to the fact of the passing of our dog Marka, no one really had a appetite for eating big…:( Life must go on and so it will as the New Year approaches.I hope you enjoy this delicious pasta dish not to many ingredients and very quick to make. 🙂 Foodzesty -
Spaghetti with homemade oregano tomato sauce Spaghetti with homemade oregano tomato sauce
What can anyone say about this classic Spaghetti with Oregano Tomato Sauce dish? It really is everyone’s favorite. A simple dish that combines ingredients, for example the intense taste of Oregano and sweet taste of Cinnamon. The Tomato sauce takes up most of the time because I like to cook this very slowly on low to medium heat. The reason is that this gives all the ingredients much more tastier. Foodzesty -
