Carrot & Coconut Milk Curry Potage Carrot & Coconut Milk Curry Potage
When I make carrot potage, I also season with cumin. That was my standard carrot soup, but I wanted to change it a bit and tried different things. I finally settled on this delicious recipe. If everyone likes coconut, this is great for anyone from kids to adults.Adjust the amount of curry powder depending on the taste and flavor of the powder you use. The grated ginger brings out the flavor of the coconut milk. I always add it when making a coconut-milk flavored potage, but it's optional. Recipe by milketmoi cookpad.japan -
Hawaiian Coconut Cake Hawaiian Coconut Cake
I went to Hawaii for my honeymoon and ate a really delicious coconut cake in the cafe of the hotel. I made it at home for my own 27th birthday!Since coconut milk is on the oily side, I wanted to try making this cake without adding any oil. When adding the coconut milk into the batter, feel free to add a tablespoon of vegetable oil, if you like. Recipe by Gakkoiburi cookpad.japan -
Kaya Jam-Style Coconut Cream Kaya Jam-Style Coconut Cream
I tried making Kaya jam at home, but I failed when I made it in a pot since the mixture didn't come together. The ingredients and cooking steps are similar between Kaya jam and custard cream, so I thought it might work if I made basic custard cream first, then add coconut milk using a microwave.I used a large egg. I wrote down the amount of coconut milk as 50-100 ml, but the more you use, the stronger the coconut flavor becomes so adjust the amount to your liking. Drain the yogurt really well. If the yogurt isn't drained properly, the cream will be runny and watery. Recipe by Rurian cookpad.japan -
Coconut milk Coconut milk
Enjoy pure coconut milk at home, save money by making your own. Use it in your green or fruit smoothies, cooking, in cereals and desserts. A nut bag makes this a breeze but you could also use a cheese cloth. In a pinch you could even line a mesh strainer with a coffee filter. abitvintage -
Coconut Milk French Toast Coconut Milk French Toast
I used coconut milk to soak the bread for French toast and it was delicious. I topped it with finely grated coconut and sugar like a Filipino style dessert.I think the flavor of the coconut milk is enhanced if you use skimmed milk. I used finely grated coconut + sugar as topping, but you can also use maple syrup, honey, jam or whatever you like. Recipe by Hoink cookpad.japan -
