  1. 1 bowltoor dal
  2. 1tomato
  3. 1" piece ginger
  4. 2 tbsp pure ghee
  5. To tastesalt
  6. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  7. 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  8. 1/2 tspgaram masala
  9. 1 tspcumin seeds
  10. 3 bowlswater
  11. 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

    Wash toor dal.

    Add water, turmeric powder and salt and pressure cook till three whistles.

    Remove the lid when pressure releases automatically.

  4. 4

    Now heat 1 tb sp ghee in a frying pan. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put finely chopped tomatoes, green chilli and grated ginger. Sauté for 3 minutes. Mix this tadka in dal.

    Serve hot garnished with chopped coriander leaves and a tsp of pure ghee withm chapatti or rice.
