Ingredients

50 minutes
3 people
  1. 1 cupsemolina/sooji
  2. 1/2 cupall-purpose flour
  3. 1/2 cupdry coconut powder
  4. 3/4 cupsugar powder
  5. 2eggs
  6. 1/2 cupoil
  7. 2 tbspcurd
  8. 1 tspbaking powder
  9. 1 cupsugar
  10. 2 cupswater (for syrup)
  11. Few drops lemon juice

Cooking Instructions

    Mix well all the dry ingredients together, including coconut powder.

  2. 2

    Whisk all wet ingredients together nicely.

  3. 3

    Add wet ingredients mix to dry mix fold it gently in cut and fold method.

  4. 4

    Shift the batter to cake tin and bake the cake in preheated oven for 40 minutes on 180 degree centigrade. When done take the tin out and cool it.

    Prepare sugar syrup just boiling for just five minutes, add few drops of lemon juice to it.

  6. 6

    Pour warm syrup on little warm cake.

  7. 7

    Let it rest and cool down, then unmould it.

  8. 8

    Decorate with some pistas, coconut and almonds.
