To make this rava dosa little more healthier, I have added wheat flour instead of all-purpose flour (maida). Black Pepper and cumin powder enhance the flavour. We can also add chopped veggies to the batter. Butter, ghee and coconut chutney is the best combination for this dosa.

Cooking Instructions

In a mixing bowl add add rava (sooji), wheat flour, rice flour and water. Mix it together to a thin watery batter.

Finely Chop onion, green chili, coriander leaves, ginger and curry leaves.

Blend cumin and black pepper to a dry powder in a blender.

Add chopped ingredients, salt and dry powder to the batter and mix it well.

Heat kadai. Add oil, mustard and urad dal. Wait till the mustard splatters. Add this to rava batter. Leave the batter in rest for about an hour.

Heat dosa tawa. Pour the rava batter on tawa. Sprinkle oil. Flip it after this side turns to golden brown. Cook both sides crispy.

Crispy Rava wheat dosa is ready to serve.
