Ingredients

  1. For making Vada
  2. 1 bowlurad dal
  3. to tastesalt
  4. as neededWater
  5. 1/8 tspasafoetida
  6. 2 cupCooking Oil for deep frying vada
  7. 8-10raisins
  8. 8-10cashew nuts
  9. plating
  10. 1 bowlcurd
  11. 2 tbsp sugar
  12. 1/2 bowltamarind chutney (Sounth)
  13. 1/4 bowlgreen chutney
  14. 2 tbsp sev
  15. 2 tbsp boondi
  16. 1/2 tspRoasted cumin seeds
  17. 1/4 tspBlack pepper powder
  18. to tasteSalt
  19. 1/4 tspred chilli powder

Cooking Instructions

    Wash and Soak dal for 4 hours. Grind it in mixer to a smooth paste.

    Heat oil in a wok. Take a ladle full of batter. Place a cashew and raisin each in the centre and leave it in hot oil and deep fry till golden brown colour from both sides. Like wise make all the vadas.

    Remove it in a plate.

    Place vadas in warm water for 15 minutes and rhen remove the water and squeeze excess water by pressing them between your palms.

    Mix 2 tb spoon sugar thoroughly in curd.

    Place it on a serving plate. Add sweeten curd. Pour tamarind chutney over it.

    Add sev and boondi. Mix black pepper, red chilli powder and cumin seeds powder. Add 2 tb spoon Green chutney.

    Serve immediately.
