Chewy Burdock Toast

Today, people really like fluffy bread, but I heard it's also important to take care in training your jaw to eat chewy things. I love bread, so I thought of a chewy recipe for bread.
Just make sure it's chewy! I used a French baguette, but you can also use a slice of regular bread. If you use a French baguette, it's nice and chewy. If you cut it thinly, you can make it into an appetizer! Recipe by Nanagukun
Cooking Instructions
- 1
If using thin burdock, simply cut slices, but if you're using a thick burdock, first cut it lengthwise in half or fourths, then chop. Let soak in vinegar water.
- 2
Drain the burdock and lightly rinse with water. Put into a heatproof bowl with 2 tablespoons of water and smooth the surface of the ingredients. Wrap the bowl with plastic wrap and heat in a microwave at 600 W for 2 minutes.
- 3
Check the hardness of the burdock. If it's too hard, heat some more. Put onto a paper towel to drain.
- 4
If using large nuts, cut into easy-to-eat chunks. Mix together with the burdock root, mayonnaise, salt and pepper.
- 5
Cut two slices of bread (each slice should be about 2-3 cm thick) and lightly spread butter or margarine on the surface. Top with the mixture from Step 4 and the cheese.
- 6
Toast in a toaster oven until the tops are toasted. Enjoy!
