Cooking Instructions

Cook tur dal in a pressure cooker. Heat deep pan
Add oil once hot add mustard seeds, chopped garlic, chilies, saute, add onion, tomatoes, saute till mushy. - 2
Add curry leaves and coriander leaves saute till aromatic, add turmeric powder, asafoetida, cumin powder, saute add cooked dal. Cook for 5 minutes. Add red chilly powder, garam masala, salt.

Cook for five more minutes. Serve hot with jeera rice or steam rice.
