Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cuptur dal
  2. 2 cupstomato chopped
  3. 2-3green chilies chopped
  4. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  5. 5-6curry leaves
  6. 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  7. 1/2 teaspoon rai (mustard seeds)
  8. as per tasteSalt
  9. 1 tspoil

Cooking Instructions

    Wash and clean the tur dal and pour 3 cups of water in the pressure cooker and add pulses. Then close the lid and put the cooker on the medium flame. Turn off the gas after 3 to 4 whistles.

    Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds to curry leaves.

    Then add green chillies,Tomato,turmeric powder and salt, cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.

    When the flame starts to become red, add boiled toor dal and cook it until it gets a boil.

  5. 5

    Now turn off the gas. your dal fry Varan ready. (Garnish the dal with green coriander for decoration. If you want it)
