Ingredients

25 to 30 min.

  1. 1 cupWhole wheat flour
  2. 1 cupAPF
  3. 4 tablespoonsDark Cocoa powder
  4. 2 tablespoonsMilk powder
  5. 2 tablespoonsCornflour
  6. 1/2 cupMelted butter or non flavoured oil
  7. 1.5 cupsPowdered sugar
  8. 1 cupCurd
  9. 2 tspBaking powder
  10. 1 tspBaking soda
  11. 1 /2 tspVanilla essence
  12. 1 cupMilk

Cooking Instructions

25 to 30 min.

    First, assemble all ingredients, measure them and keep on room temperature.

    Grease, dust with flour and Line a round 6 inch cake tin with butter paper.

    Keep the oven to preheat at 180°c for 10 minutes. Then sieve all the dry ingredients except sugar and cocoa pwd in a bowl.

    In another bowl, whisk curd, butter, sugar and essence till creamy.

    Then fold in the dry ingredients into wet by cut and fold method, alternatively with adding milk. Gently mix to a lump free

    Then divide the batter in 2 parts. Keep one batter plain and in the other, add cocoa powder mixed to a lump free mixture with 2 tablespoons of milk.

    Gently mix in the Cocoa mixture in one part evenly. Start adding spoonfuls of each mixture alternately in the tin one upon the other. Do not let them get mixed. Just pour one on top of other.

    When all the mixture is poured, make patterns with a toothpick to creat a ripple ( move it once upward from centre and once inward towards centre.

    Then gently tap once and keep the cake tin to bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes.

    Once done after checking with a toothpick and it comes out clean, remove and cover with a tea towel for 10 minutes.

    Then cut into desired shapes and enjoy!
