Ingredients

  1. 1 small size chopped cabbage
  2. 2chopped potatoes
  3. 1" ginger and green chilli paste
  4. 1/2 tsphaldi powder
  5. as neededRed chilli powder
  6. 1 tbsproasted cumin powder
  7. 1 tbsproasted coriander powder
  8. 1/2 tspblack pepper powder
  9. 1 tspfennel powder
  10. 1 tspgaram masala
  11. For tadka :
  12. 1 bay leaf
  13. 1" cinnamon stick
  14. 2cloves
  15. 2broken cardamom
  16. as neededSalt
  17. Mustard oil for cooking

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    First wash cabbage then chopped it. Heat mustard oil in a cooker. Then fry the whole garam masala..for few seconds then fry the chopped onion till it is light brown in color.

    Then add dry masala. Saute it for few seconds. Now add chopped potato and cabbage. Fry till it is tender. Then add salt as needed

    No need of adding water. In
    Cabbage varieties have high moisture content . Close the lid and wait for 2 whistles. After 2 whistles switch of the flame. Standing time 1 minute. Cool it and open the lid. Check if it is done...

    Transfer to a serving plate..
    Serve with hot..rice, dal and pickles...
