Smooth Sesame Pudding in 5 Minutes

I don't really like that hardened gelatin taste and jiggly feel, so I wanted to make a nice smooth pudding...
There's nothing hard about this! As long as you make sure not to close the lid all the way, the puddings won't get bubbly even when you steam them on a high flame. Close it so just a little steam can still escape. For 4 teacups. Recipe by Marumatsumama

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Put milk and sugar in a pot and heat until the milk is about body temperature, melting the sugar. Then set up the steamer on the stove.
- 2
In a bowl, whisk eggs and black sesame seed paste together thoroughly.
- 3
Mix in the milk and sugar mixture a little bit at a time.
- 4
Now strain the mixture into the pot from Step 1. The mixture is now ready.
- 5
It's helpful to put the liquid pudding in a measuring cup so you can pour it into tea cups easily.
- 6
Put the pudding cups in the boiling steamer and cover the lid with a towel. Leave the steamer on a high flame for 5 minutes. (Don't completely close the lid). Turn off the heat and then close the lid completely and leave it to steam for 15 minutes.
- 7
Take it out of the steamer and let it cool, then chill it in the refrigerator and you're done! Right after it's steamed it'll feel very jiggly, but once it's chilled it should be nice and smooth.

I bought a jar of black sesame seed paste and used it for goma-ae (vegetables with sesame seeds sauce), but there was still some left.I wanted create a rich and milky black sesame seeds pudding and came up with this recipe. It turned out to be very delicious.I recommend you use gelatin which dissolves in hot water. (Not the type which needs to be soaked in water). Be sure to dissolve the gelatin in hot water. If you add gelatin to cold water and boil the mixture, it won't harden. Either use boiling water and set aside in a bowl, or use hot water from an electric tea kettle, and the water temperature will be just right. Recipe by dharm cookpad.japan -

I wanted to eat black sesame pudding, so I made some with ingredients I had on hand. It doesn't require a lot of dishes, so you can make it easily.Since you just microwave it, you don't need a pot! If you use a kitchen scale, you just have to mix! If you try replacing the milk with heavy cream, I guess it'll become a richer version. If the mixture separates, just think of it as a two-layer pudding! This time, for the picture, I decorated it a bit with a bit of black sesame cream and water. Recipe by Shinhina mama cookpad.japan -

I wanted to eat a creamy and delicious pudding, but heavy cream is expensive, and it has a short shelf life. So I came up with a recipe which doesn't require heavy cream. This takes no time at all to make, so it's a great snack for my kids.If you overheat the milk, the egg yolk will harden when you add it, so be careful! If you let the mixture cool down, it will go lumpy, so pour it into the cups as soon as possible.I always use the same bowl to dissolve the gelatin and beat the egg yolk to reduce dirty dishes. Baking using ovens takes time and it gets hot in the summer. Plus, I don't like the flavor and the texture of gelatin...But I still wanted to eat smooth pudding that wouldn't melt at room temperature.-You don't have to worry about the temperature! They'll come out smooth even over high heat if you keep the lid slightly ajar. Steam escaping a bit is the only thing that would happen.-You can make this without a food processor. Just mash the kabocha, then add the sugar, egg, then milk in that order and mix well each time, and then strain. Use a mortar or some other similar device to get the leftover bits that are stuck on the strainer. Recipe by Marumatsumama cookpad.japan -

White Sesame Pudding with Sesame Paste White Sesame Pudding with Sesame Paste
I had leftover sesame paste, so I dissolved that into milk and hardened it with gelatin to make pudding. The reason why you chill the bottom of the pot in ice-cold water after the gelatin is dissolved is to prevent the sesame paste and milk from separating. It also hardens much faster if you cool it down and stir to thicken before pouring it into a container. If you don't cool the mixture down thoroughly, it will form two layers. It's also tasty that way. For 4-5 servings. Recipe by nana recipe cookpad.japan -
