Pre-Heat oven 350°

Cream together butter and sugar. add vanilla and mix. add beaten eggs and milk and mix through. add flour slowly til completely mixed. Add one teaspoon to bottom of mini cupcake tin and press to the bottom.

Bake for 8 minutes.

While cookie is baking, unwrap caramels.

Remove cookie from oven and place one caramel in center of cookie. place back in oven for 7 minutes.

Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on tops of caramel. When chocolate melts, smooth over top.

Options: Add chopped pecans/nuts to cookie batter or place pecan half to top of cookie before placing caramel on top. Or shredded coconut before adding the caramel. You can substitute almond extract for the vanilla. Instead of caramel, cool cookie, spread peanut butter on and dip in melted chocolate.

You can also spread cookie batter into a cake pan and bake for 20-25 mins. add caramels, cool, cut in bars and dip into melted chocolate for a more authentic "TWIX"
