Cold-Brewed Tea Cold-Brewed Tea
Yes! The answer to your question, when there is cold-brewed coffee, there is also cold-brewed tea. Very much like cold brewing coffee, the process reduces the tannins from releasing into your tea. In other words, less bitterness and astringent flavor comparing to when brewing coffee or tea hot.I made 2 separate cold-brewed tea: a combination of green tea, lemon and blueberries, green tea and oranges. You can use red tea, earl grey, or a combination of different types of tea. As for the fruits, I would recommend citrus and berries. I am not sure about apples, pears, or stone fruits tho. But I am sure they are worth exploring and experimenting with.If you are intrigued, you can also add in some spices to your preference as well. Cinnamon, ginger, allspice, etc. The possibilities are endless. This just amps up a whole new level of tea-drinking experience! I really hope you will give this recipe a try and start cold brewing. For Health and Beauty! My Mother's Safe and Easy Yuzu Tea Base For Health and Beauty! My Mother's Safe and Easy Yuzu Tea Base
This is my mother's recipe, and she's been using it for a long time.Ready made yuzu teas made from domestically grown yuzu are expensive, and while ones made with imported yuzu are cheaper, I am wary of them. It's easy to make at home, and I can trust one I've processed myself. If you're counting on the health giving properties of something you consume every day, it's best if it's "safe" "delicious" and "easy," right? If you don't like any hint of bitterness, take out the pith from the insides of the peel with a spoon, or blanch the peel 1-2 times after shredding it. This makes the yuzu very mild. I like to use the whole fruit for nutritional purposes, so I leave the pith as is. If you are using organically grown yuzu, you can skip the blanching part in Step 2. No-Waste Powdered Tea! No-Waste Powdered Tea!
A friend of mine heard that if you turn tea leaves into powder, you can make a huge amount of tea from it. It sounded like it would be good for you, too, so I tried making it.If you keep the blender running continuously, the motor will heat up. Be sure to stop it from time to time. The tea leaves turn very fine and become much more fragrant. To make tea with a tiny amount of the powdered tea leaves, mix very well after adding the powder to hot or cold water. Recipe by Myuu samada cookpad.japan -
