Ingredients

  1. 1 cupwheat flour
  2. 1/3 cuphoney
  3. 1/2 cupcurd
  4. 1/4 cupbuttermilk
  5. 1/2 cupolive oil/vegetable oil
  6. 1 tspvanilla essence
  7. 1 tsp baking powder
  8. 1/2 tspbaking soda
  9. 1/4 tspcinnamon powder
  10. 1 cupcarrot, grated
  11. pinchsalt
  12. 1 tbsp almonds / badam chopped
  13. 1 tbspraisins / kishmish
  14. 1/4 cup milk(if required)

Cooking Instructions

    Firstly, in a large mixing bowl take curd and whisk well, then add buttermilk, olive oil, honey, vanilla essence and whisk smooth making sure everything is combined.

    Now in a sieve take wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon powder and pinch of salt. sieve everything well.

    Combine well with cut and fold method adding milk if required.
    Further add grated carrot, tbsp almonds and tbsp raisins.

    Combine well and make sure not to over mix the cake batter as it turns chewy.

  5. 5

    Further, transfer the cake batter into the cake mould.

    Bake the cake at 180 degree celsius for 30-40 minutes.

  7. 7

    Carrot cake is ready to serve.
