Soft Coconut-Milk Burfi
I wanted to make a very different dessert to celebrate Ugadhi - New Year’s Day for people of Telugu and Kannada origin. I am of Tamil origin. Mom always celebrated Ugadhi. I am celebrating it today. Coconut is an important ingredient in any festival food item in South India. Instead of using shredded coconut, I decided to use Coconut flour. Here is a novel recipe. Call it burfi or halva, by whatever name you call it , it is simply delicious. I made the burfi with coconut flour, milk, melted butter and powdered sugar. It took less than thirty minutes from start to finish to make this delicious burfi. #rainbowweek3white recipe #cookpaddessert

Homemade Chapatis
#cookpadindia#everydaycooking#easyAn everyday easy to do soft and well roasted Rotis or Chapatis for breakfast. However these can be made for Lunch or Dinner too. Extremely soft and supple. Healthy and wholesome too. And making these for meals is almost a daily routine. And it's made in every Indian home. Some like it simple without Oil or Ghee. Some like it with a generous brush of Oil while others want a lot of Ghee both in the dough while kneading it as well while roasting them. These are Rotis with a little bit of Oil that are made on a everyday basis in my house. And sometimes we relish these with a generous dollop of Ghee also especially on weekends or when we have a family get together.Happy Cooking with Zeen!
