Stir-fried Prawns with Eggs Stir-fried Prawns with Eggs
This is my favorite combination of food. I don't call this a recipe because it is too easy. I often make this dish when I am busy.By frying the leek well it will give a good flavour to this dish. You don't need any special onion-flavoured oil. Just use usual seasonings for this dish. I used extra large-sized eggs this time. If you have medium ones use three. The Taste of Autumn--Persimmon and Shimeji Mushroom Shira-ae The Taste of Autumn--Persimmon and Shimeji Mushroom Shira-ae
This dish often appears at upscale Japanese restaurants (ryotei), but since I don't have much opportunity to go to one, I made my own shira-ae with persimmon. The key to this recipe is to pre-season the shimeji mushrooms. For optimal results, I recommend mashing the tofu with a mortar and pestle. (Since I don't have a mortar and pestle, I just mashed it finely.)If you prefer more sweetness, add extra persimmon. You can also substitute chrysanthemum leaves for spinach. For 4 servings. Corn Grits for English Muffins Corn Grits for English Muffins
I usual buy corn grits just to use on English muffins. But, I can't use them all up!So, I thought of a clever replacement. When crushing up into pieces, hit first, then roll to crush up. You can use a food processor if you like, or mortar and pestle. It's best to use it right away, so make what you need. Recipe by hirokoh cookpad.japan -

I grow my own very hot chili peppers, so of course I wanted to try making some Tabasco sauce. I learned how to make this from a friend who cultivates habanero peppers.Definitely use gloves and turn on the ventilation fan while making this! You can use a blender instead of a mortar and pestle. It's also okay to add some garlic. Recipe by Arajin. cookpad.japan -
