Cinnamon Dates Banana Nut Cake /bread
I had lots of fun making this..
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Sift together flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder then set aside
- 2
In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas, they don't have to be smooth, the chunkier the better
- 3
Add in vanilla and eggs and mix well
- 4
Add in your dates and nuts
- 5
Add sugar and melted butter then mix well
- 6
Fold in your flour until everything is well incorporated, don't over mix.
- 7
Transfer into a prepared baking tray, bake for 60-70 minutes at 180°c or until a knife inserted at the center comes out clean.
- 8
Let it cool in the pan about 10 minutes then remove it. You can now cut it into your desired size and serve. Enjoy

I still have a hand written recipe for banana bread (18 years old!) from a lovely lady named Sandy. I never got mine to taste as amazing as hers so over the years the recipe has morphed into this, in an effort to reduce sugar, and most recently...incorporate cranberries into banana bread. Tweak away to suit your preferences!! Uninstalled -

Banana bread is best when the bananas are overripe. So, next time, you have overripe bananas on hand? Think banana cake!! It’s only taking 15 minutes to prepare everything then you will have a moist, rich banana cake. My favorite is adding chocolate chips and walnut, they are a classic combination. This will be the BEST banana cake recipe you never have!#bananaCheck out my cooking video -> youtu.be/eKMquuBj_Rs Jessica’s cooking kitchen -

Must be something about cooler weather and me and Bisquick. Gets close to fall and I gravitate to the Bisquick recipes. This cake version is a nice change from heavy banana bread. If you are eating this on the run you should probably skip the syrup! cindybear -

Delicious Apple Cake in a Bread Maker Delicious Apple Cake in a Bread Maker
I was looking for cake recipes to make every week since I like to bake something on Sundays. I couldn't decide, so I went with the classic yogurt-measured cake but made some changes in the quantities and added apples. It turned out amazing, the best I've ever made. Very fluffy and moist, it didn't last long even though I'm the only one with a sweet tooth and I'm maintaining my diet, so I only had a small piece. I made it in a bread maker, but it can also be done by hand and then baked in the oven. I always sift the flour, but this time I didn't, and it turned out better than ever.
