Ingredients

  1. 4 cupsgitheri
  2. Potatoes
  3. Salt
  4. Cooking oil
  5. 3large onions

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Gather all your ingredients
    Peel the potatoes and clean them.
    Boil with water.

  2. 2

    Add in Githeri and continue boiling until potatoes are cooked.

  3. 3

    If the food have excess water, strain it in a clean bowl and preserve it cause you might use it later.
    Start mashing until everything is incorporated and all potatoes is completely mashed.

    As you mash, chop onions and fry in enough oil.

  5. 5

    Pour the onions in mukimo and continue mashing.

  6. 6

    Serve as desired.
    Goes well with any stew.
