This is a recipe that I've been making since I got married. When I was still single, a co-worker made me a simmered scallop dish that tasted delicious, so I tried remaking it in my own home with crab sticks.

Please thoroughly squeeze out any excess moisture from the daikon radish during Step 3. Recipe by Donpintan

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1/2Daikon radish
  2. 10Imitation crab sticks
  3. 1/2 tspSalt
  4. 1 tbspVinegar
  5. 1 tspSugar
  6. 4 tbspMayonnaise
  7. 1Black pepper

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Cut the daikon radish with a slicer and julienne it.

  2. 2

It should look like this ♪ I think that cutting the radish this way helps to improve the taste of the salad.

  3. 3

Place the daikon radish into a bowl and sprinkle some salt over the top. Let the mixture sit for 20 minutes then thoroughly squeeze out any moisture.

  4. 4

    Tear apart the crab sticks.

  5. 5

Mix the crab sticks together with the daikon radish and seasoning.

  6. 6

Adjust the flavour to your taste with some black pepper. Check the taste again, and add some more mayonnaise or salt to adjust the flavour accordingly.

  7. 7

Transfer the salad to a plate and it's ready to serve.

  8. 8

It's useful if you refer to "Uzu1118"'s "How to Quickly Break Up Crabsticks" guide,.)
