Korean Beef with Cucumber

I get excited at the smallest things. This time around, it’s cooking cucumbers and not always have them cold and super crunchy. I’ve been excited since the very moment I learnt you could cook cucumbers in a fun and not so weird way. I forgot a sprinkle of sesame seeds but do trust there’s lots of sprinkles of joy

Mongolian Ground Beef Mongolian Ground Beef
Quick, easy, affordable, and tasty! The original recipe came from the Closet Cooking website. After giving it a test run and getting everyone's input, this improved version is a keeper. The sauce has been thinned a bit and the hoisin doubled. I think it would also be good with the addition of sliced water chestnuts and snow pea pods for crunch. Maggie Conlon -
Sautéed Broccoli and Beef with Sesame Gravy Sautéed Broccoli and Beef with Sesame Gravy
Since I will have an exam next week. My friend and I decided to meet up at the campus for a study group. And we also decided not to go out for lunch. Because we don’t want to waste our time for looking the restaurant, go there, waiting for the food, eating ,and again go back to the campus. So we decided to bring foods from home to share. Since two of my friends are going to bring the dessert and snacks, then I decided to bring rice complete with the dishes. So I made non spicy sautéed broccoli and beef with sesame gravy, deep fried chicken wings, and sliced omelette. I intended to make all the food non-spicy, because one of my friend, she doesn’t eat spicy food. Long story short, after I made the food than I arranged into a bento lunch using the takeout box. My friends were so happy. They’re enjoying every bite of the food. So, today I am going to share one of the recipe of those food. I am going to share how to make sautéed broccoli and beef with sesame gravy. Ops I forgot, I left the leftovers of the broccoli and beef for my hubby. And when I got home, it was already gone. He ate whole thing. When he came home from exercising he said that “the broccoli and beef was so delicious “. Of course I take that compliment, because it makes me happy 😊All right let’s jump to the recipe. Shall we....? Nia Hiura -

Speedy Cucumber Namul Speedy Cucumber Namul
I received a ton of cucumbers, so I came up with this recipe as a way to use them up. My husband loves these too.Diluting the dashida in boiling hot water makes it easier to toss with the cucumbers, but if you're in a hurry, skip this step. Add the dashida once the cucumbers have softened. Add sesame seeds for a tastier finish. Since cucumbers come in different sizes, add the dashida 1 teaspoon at a time to taste. For 2 servings. Stir-fried Ginger pork with onions Stir-fried Ginger pork with onions
Japanese inspired sliced pork with onions. Infused in a sweet sauce with caramelized onions. Made this as part of a meal prep. I only had a chunk of pork loin in the freezer. Semi-thawing it made it way easier to slice the pork thinly. Learnt something new and love this trick! I made the seasoning stronger as we were pairing it with plain boiled carrots and Bok choy. Spicy Pounded Cucumber Spicy Pounded Cucumber
A perfect recipe when you need to use a bunch of cucumbers.Since the marinade does not completely submerge the cucumbers, mix occasionally for the marinade to season the cucumbers. It may seem watery when the cucumbers releases their water content, but this prevents the marinade from completely overwhelming the flavor. For 2 to 3 servings. Recipe by Nacchi sencho cookpad.japan -

Low Sugar: Bean Sprouts, Cucumber, Ham, with Sesame Low Sugar: Bean Sprouts, Cucumber, Ham, with Sesame
It's a delicious, fun, and easy recipe! If you're not worried about the sugar content, I recommend adding more sesame seeds. The profile photo is with white sesame seeds, but black sesame would also be delicious. Tuna, chikuwa (fish paste sticks), crab sticks, normal ham would also work, but consider the sugar contents when substituting. Recipe by Ao3150 cookpad.japan -
