I always try to take some of my recipes and change the flavors up. This is almost just like my boneless chops with cherry sauce but the ginger and scallions add a wonderful note of new flavor. I hope you'll enjoy these.

Pork Chops With Ginger Cherry Sauce

I always try to take some of my recipes and change the flavors up. This is almost just like my boneless chops with cherry sauce but the ginger and scallions add a wonderful note of new flavor. I hope you'll enjoy these.

Ingredients

  1. chops
  2. 4 1/4inch thick center cut pork chops
  3. 1/4 tspsalt
  4. 1/4 cupall-purpose flour
  5. 2 tbspvegetable oil
  6. 2 tbspunsalted butter
  7. sauce
  8. 31/4" thick slices of fresh ginger
  9. 3scallions cut into thirds
  10. 3/4 cupfrozen black cherries ( thawed )
  11. 3 tbspbalsalmic vinegar
  12. 2 tbspsalted butter
  13. 1/2 cupvegetable broth

Cooking Instructions

    In a large plate mix salt with flour. Dredge chops in flour on both sides and set aside.

    Prepare your ginger and scallions. In a deep saute pan over medium heat, add butter and oil. Let butter melt then add the ginger and scallions. Keep them to the sides of the pan.

    Place chops in and cook on one side about three minutes. Flip, cook another 2-3 minutes. When done, set them aside and cook the other two.

    In the same pan add the balsamic vinegar. Cook one minute. Add in cherries and half of remaking butter.

    Cook one minute, add in vegetable broth. Cook five minutes.

    With the back of a fork, smash down cherries. Add last amount of butter. Let butter melt and sauce is done.

    Remove ginger and scallions before spooning sauce over pork chops. Enjoy!
