Ingredients

  1. 6 tbspbutter, softened
  2. 3/4 cupsugar
  3. 2eggs
  4. 3 tbsplemon juice
  5. 2 tsplemon peel
  6. 1 1/2 cupall-purpose flour
  7. 1 tspbaking powder
  8. 1 tspsalt
  9. 1/2 cupmilk
  10. 3 tbsplemon juice
  11. 1/4 cupsugar
  12. 8 ozcream cheese
  13. 1 tbsppowdered sugar
  14. 1 tbsplemon juice

Cooking Instructions

    Mix ingredients together.

    Pour into greased 8x4 loaf pan. Bake 350°F for 1 hour.

    Pour lemon and sugar mixture over hot bread. Let cool completely.

    Wrap in foil for 24 hours.

    Cream cheese spread:

    Spread cream cheese over slices of bread.
