preheat oven to 350

have two seperate bowls for butter, sugar, vanilla, egg mixture and flour and salt mixture

cream together butter and sugar

add vanilla extract then add egg and mix well

slowly add flour and salt mixture to the butter mixture mix well

make dough into desired shapes and add to greased cookie sheet make cookies very thin

bake cookies 10-12 minutes or till brown on bottom

cool for 10 minutes
