TaTu (Tamarind Turmeric) Herbal Tea/Kunir Asem
This herbal tea I used to drink when I was a teenager and made by my late sister helps me reduce the pain for my monthly period. Despite an Indonesian woman that this herbal drink (we called it jamu) kunir asem (turmeric tamarind) and used to drink it in the period, which helps us reduce the pain, tummy cramps, the lousy odour is delicious for another healthy winter drink. As usual, I expend this recipe so my teen daughter can drink (she doesn't like the smell of turmeric, so I add cinnamon to bias the pungent aroma of the turmeric) it also.Recipe by @Simple_Woman23#jamu #kunirasem #herbaltea #turmeric #tamarind #healthy #drink for #woman #winter #cookpad #cookpadcommunity #cookpadcommunity_USA #cookpadcommunity_Indonesia

Eggnog is a delicious international culinary treat, a rich drink made with milk, egg yolks, and spices. Each country has its own ingredients to enhance eggnog, as it's called in English. I've added my Algerian touch with dates for flavor and health benefits, plus a hint of tamarind.

Juicy Jalebi (Rasili Jalebi Recipe)
Jalebi is a traditional sweet that makes your mouth water just by its name. It's called 'Jalebi' because it's soaked in sweet syrup. Its popularity is such that even though it's not originally from India, it's often referred to as the 'national sweet'. In winter, if you get to eat hot Jalebi, it's like a dream come true. Jalebi is enjoyed with rabri, yogurt, or even milk in different places. Before I made Jalebi, it seemed very difficult, but when I used a plastic sauce bottle, it became easy with a little effort.

HeeeheeYou can get a Tamarind soup base (Knorr) at Asian or Filipino shops or you can also use the Thai Tamarind paste :) I have not tried it with Lemon or Lime, I think it would work, as the soup needs to have a hint of acidity/sourness...lemme know?#veggies

Beef Massaman Curry - Kaeng Matsaman
This dish was chosen to be No.1 in the "World's Most Delicious Foods Top 50" in CNNGo. This is a popular curry in our house. I substituted tamarind with lemon juice. Massaman means Muslims. The ☆ Indian spices are originally brought from Thailand by Muslim traders. You can make this in the same way as you make green curry or yellow curry. The secret is to sauté the curry paste and mix in the coconut milk in Step 3 and Step 4. I used the ☆ spices in Step 2 to increase the fragrance, but you can omit them as they are already included in the curry paste. I added lemon juice instead of tamarind. Recipe by gingamom
