How To Make Nutella How To Make Nutella
I admit that I was once obsessed with Nutella. I know it is very unhealthy even tho me and my daughters love it. We spread on toast almost every morning. It came to the point when I realized how much sugar were used to make a jar of Nutella. You can see the image below (from Google). I decided to do the right thing and ban Nutella in my household. It is frightening the ratio between chocolate and hazelnuts to the amount of oil and sugar. By educating myself and my daughters, we made up our minds that we would rather make our own Nutella from scratch. It is really simple and quite cost-effective too. All we need is a food processor and no more than 7 natural ingredients. It also takes about less than 45 mins to put everything together. Yes, we do not use any sugar. We used pure honey instead; you can use any other natural sweeteners if desired. Maple syrup works really well too.Do not expect the same sugary explosion, you are not gonna get it here. It is also not as glossy and smooth as compared to Nutella. You will need a conche to create that shine and texture. Maybe in the future, if I can afford, I will invest in 1 so I can show you lovely people how it is done. In the meantime, let's get started with the recipe. Daniel Lim -

How To Make Vegan Kimchi How To Make Vegan Kimchi
#MyCookbookTo be honest, I have never really tried Korean cuisine, even tho my eldest daughter is a huge Korean fan. Yes, she watches Korean drama and idolizes K-Pop groups. When she heard that I will make some Korean dishes for the month of October, she jumped with joy. So, what made me decided to make some Korean recipes?I received a jar of Korean chili sauce from @chillibellasg and I thought this would be a great chance for me to explore uncharted territory: Korean cuisine. What better way to kickstart this series than this humble vegan kimchi? Making kimchi really does takes a bit of time and effort, but, I guarantee, the end results will make all that sweat worthwhile. If you are wondering what kinda recipes go well with kimchi, you can check out @IzzyPreps website. I still dream of her Kimchi Grilled Cheese Sandwich.#lactofermentation Daniel Lim -
How to Make Red Pickled Ginger How to Make Red Pickled Ginger
I love red pickled ginger, but I worry about the food coloring and additives in the store-bought type. It's also a shame to toss out the plum vinegar from making umeboshi. Simplifying the salting and drying process, I was able to produce a delicious red pickled ginger. There's nothing much to it. All of the amounts are approximate.Just a light sprinkle of salt and enough plum vinegar to cover the ginger. As a rule of thumb, the amount of salt should be 4% the amount of ginger, so you can approximate with the proportion of 100 g ginger to 4 g salt.
