Simple pantry salad

I made potato salad. Just simple and easy one . Simple but yummy that is what i want,, and didn't mix the egg with potato cos i wanted my salad looked nice with egg color, so i just put egg on the top to covered the salad, and yesss yummy and look so nice ,,#mycookbook

I was bored so I decided to cook and just sorta threw it together and it was delicious!

I mentioned the other day that my arm was not doing well, I was feeling better yesterday but not enough to cook a normal meal. The easiest dish to make was a salad and this one is my hubby's favorite andddddd this is also one of my mother - in - laws recipes. :) I remember when she was still hosting parties that everyone use to jump right into this salad first! I couldn't understand why but it was always the first dish to go.Chopping the potatoes and pickles were a challenge, it took me a quite a while to get it done but for the rest of the ingredients I just picked up a package of frozen peas and carrots and added into the potatoes to boil. I just wanted to emphasize that for this recipe after boiling the veggies they need to be drain from excess water all night long. I asked my mother in law what was the reason for draining it all night long and she responded with "It seems to me that it just tastes better" hahahaha...it really is up to you if you want to wait to eat it the following day. But to be honest I have been doing this step for years and I think she just might have a point. :)

I absolutely love chicken salad, and I am always experimenting with new recipes! This is one I threw together last night, using ingredients I had on hand. Turned out pretty well!

Just threw together some items, and yummy. I have always had a thing for whipped fruit salads. I make and come up with many of them. Lol

The Cobb salad I had in a neighborhood restaurant was so very yummy but I can't go there all the time. So, I tried to make it at home. I tried several dressings with the salad. The one made for this recipe salad also tasted good with one tablespoon of finely grated cheese added. (No grated cheese was added to this recipe dressing because my husband is not a big fan of cheese.)There are no hints or points for this recipe. Just chop up your favorite ingredients into desired sizes and dish them out. I love deviled eggs, and I like egg salad though I think the flavor is often ruined by adding huge chunks of celery and way too much sweet relish.
