Ingredients

2-3 servings

1/2 bowlthinly chopped yellow bell pepper
1/2 tspvinegar
1 tspfinely chopped garlic
1/4 bowlthinly chopped red bell pepper
2 tbspfinely chopped spring onion
to tasteSalt
1 tspblack pepper powder
2 tspred chilli sauce
1 bowlfinely chopped cabbage
1/4 bowlthinly chopped capsicum
250 gmnoodles
2.5 tbsprefined oil
3 cupwater
3-4green chilli finely chopped
1 tspsoy sauce
1 tspgreen Chilli sauce
1onion thinly chopped

Cooking Instructions

Boil noodles into 3 cup of water with adding 1 tsp of oil and pinch of salt. Than strain it from the water and keep it aside. Do not over cook the noodles.

Heat 2 tbsp of refined oil and ginger, green chili saute for few seconds. Than add cabbage, capsicum, Spring onions, red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, onions and saute for 2-3 min. Than add soy sauce, vinegar mix it well and fry for a min.

Now add red chilli sauce and green chilli sauce. Mix it well. Than add salt and black pepper powder.mix it well.

Now add boiled noodles. Mix it into the pan. Use the fork to mix it that coated with the veggies and sauces.finely add chopped spring onion for garnishing. Now switch off the flame. Chowmine is ready.

Transfer it into serving bowl serve it hot with tomato sauce and green chilli sauce.

The recipe called for hashbrowns and an onion...I ended up using southern style hashbrowns (which is diced opposed to shredded) and green onions with a bit of onion powder. I also used a mix of colby jack cheese with some sharp cheddar. It came out super delicious.

I started making this several years ago when we were having trouble making ends meet and only had a random assortment of food in the house, aside from ramen noodles of course. We had a half a roll of sausage, half a bag hashbrowns, some green beans, some gravy mix, and some cheese. There wasn't really enough of anything to make anything, so I just threw it all in a pan. Much to our surprise and delight, I had just created our new favorite dinner!*It is hard to plate it and make it look nice, but the taste more than makes up for that!!*Also, I have tried it with many different vegetables, but green beans worked the best. Fresh or frozen broccoli would be good as well, but then my husband wouldn't eat it, lol.
